1. Program orientation：The course aims to comprehensively improve the student’s Chinese Language proficiency. Through a variety of engaging classroom teaching and cultural experience activities, students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills will be strengthened, and practical communication in their daily life and work will beenhanced.
2. Main courses and course features：
Main language courses：
Comprehensive course (Introductory Level): suitable for non-native Chinese speaking students with zero basics in Chinese language.
Comprehensive course (Elementary Level): suitable for non-native Chinese speaking students.Students are required to have mastered about 1000 common vocabulary or have learned Chinese for at least half a year.
Comprehensive course (Intermediate Level): suitable for non-native Chinese speaking students. Students are required to have mastered about 2000 common vocabulary or have learned Chinese for at least a year.
Comprehensive course (Advanced Level): suitable for non-native Chinese speaking students. Students are required to have mastered about 2500 common vocabulary or have learned Chinese for at least a year and half.
Mixed classes of students from all countries, providing a conducive environment for multi-cultural interactions.
Small classes with an average of 3-8 students. Every student gets more attention and better study opportunities.
A placement test is carried out at the beginning of the semester to facilitate students to choose a suitable starting point for learning.

All application documents have to be accurately completed and uploaded online according to requirements stated on the website.

Ensure accurate completion of information pertaining financial guarantor. The University may request submission of proof of financial status and/or proof of income of financial guarantor if required.
Admission will be decided based on appraisal of submitted documents. Upon receipt of all application documents and validation by the application committee, the “Admission Notice” and “Visa Application for Study in China” (JW202 or JW201 forms) will be sent to the applicant. Application fees will not be refunded for incomplete application documents, unsuccessful application, and withdraw of application.
All successful applicants should bring along original copies of their application documents and proof of health (health examination report) for validation; applicants suffering from chronic conditions should clarify with the University whether they could register. The University reserves the right to revoke offer of admission if admission documents are found to be inconsistent. According to government regulations, all international students are to be under insurance coverage. Students are required to purchase insurance covering 6 months upon registration. Students who do not complete insurance payment according to yearly government-advised prices (insurance fee for 2020 is 400 RMB for 6 months) will be denied registration or dismissed from the University. Payment of application fees through bank transfer requires indication of applicant’s passport name and application number under remittance information. Payment of application fees through online remittance requires a screenshot indicating payment success and the applicant’s passport name and application number. Payment of application fees cannot be completed using Ali pay or We Chat Pay.
