The 3rd Academic Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine for International Postgraduates

CALL FOR PAPER

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has played a larger role in China’s healthcare system, alongside Western medicine. Academic studies and evidence-based research are essential to its inheritance and innovative development.  

The organizing committee invites international postgraduates (Master and PhD) to submit full papers to AFTCM 2024. The AFTCM 2024 is the third forum for presenting of original papers on TCM. This forum brings together postgraduates from local and foreign universities.

Topics of interest for submission include, but not limited to the following topics: 

Research on Medicinal Paste

Research progress of academic hot topics in TCM (Literature Review)

A comparative study on theories of TCM and other traditional medicines

Research on development status and localized features of TCM in different countries or territories

Literature research on historical documents regarding overseas TCM dissemination

Research on the trade of Chinese herbal medicine and cultural exchange along the Silk Road

Clinical research on Chinese Medicine, Chinese Materia Medica and Acupuncture

The latest research progress of acupuncture or non-drug therapy for common conditions

Research progress on pharmacological actions, biological activities and clinical use of common and precious Chinese herbs

Advances in clinical and basic research on classical compound TCM formulas for major, common and frequently occurring conditions 

GUIDELINES

Language: The paper should be written and presented in English or Chinese (see Annex 2 for the template and format).  

Presentation & Publication (Full paper): Full paper is requested, at least 6,000 words.

Academic Ethics: Articles submitted to the forum should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtue of any academic activity. Hence any act of plagiarism is a totally unacceptable academic misconduct and cannot be accepted. 

Deadline: Please submit your participation receipt by June 14, 2024 (Annex A), including your personal information and abstract of your paper).  

Please send your paper before July 5, 2024 to (iecforum@163.com). Please name the electronic version of the paper (one copy each in Word and PDF format) as: 'school+ name + telephone + thesis title'

BEST PAPER AWARD

The AFTCM will invite an Expert Committee to score candidate papers.
